Charges filed against Myrtle Beach woman in fatal wreck

A 37-year-old Myrtle Beach lady has been charged this afternoon in the fatal crash that happened earlier this week upon U.S.17 near the S.C. 544 interchange, main road patrol officials said.Lynne Slay, who was released today from Waccamaw Community Hospital, has been charged with felony DUI involving death, pronounced Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins with the S.C. Highway Patrol. She now is during the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Conway, Collins said.The crash happened about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday when Slay was roving south in the northbound line of U.S. seventeen when she struck head-on the car driven by Barrianne Deas, who was headed north, officials said.
